Product Description:
Highly purified, absorbable gelatin products made from premium material for hemostatic application in surgical procedures. All SMI-SPON products are sterile, biocompatible, and non-pyrogenic.
Product Features:
- Reliable and rapid hemostasis
- Absorb 30-40 times their own weight in blood and fluids
- Dimensionally stable - do not collapse after moistening
- Do not stick to instruments or gloves
- Do not stick to mucous membranes
- Can be used dry or moistened
- Can be soaked with sterile saline solution or antibiotics
- Gamma-sterilized and individually packaged
- Complete absorption within 3-4 weeks, on mucous membranes within 2-5 days
- Leave no residue or encapsulation

Contraindications:
- For closing skin incisions
- In patients with pork collagen allergy
- In the vascular lumen due to embolism risk
- Together with methyl methacrylate adhesives
- Concurrently with closed blood recovery systems
- As primary treatment for coagulation disorders
- In case of infections
- For controlling postpartum bleeding or menorrhagia
- For stopping pulsating arterial bleeding
Application:
Customizable depending on product form and application area. Cut to desired size if necessary. Apply dry or soaked with sterile saline solution. Place on the bleeding source and hold with moderate pressure until hemostasis is achieved.
Storage:
Store at temperatures between +5°C and +30°C in original packaging, protected from direct sunlight.
